GREEN MOUNTAIN FIRE
APPLYING A NEW BRAND ON WEB

Web Design
When a fun-loving firewood company needs a new website, you answer the call.
And we’re sure glad we did! Green Mountain Fire (formerly Firewood) has spent years perfecting the perfect firelog, one that burns longer, emits less smoke, and is produced using sustainable practices. With a fresh rebrand at our disposal, we wasted no time bringing their new look and feel to life on a refreshed Squarespace website.

THE PROCESS
USER EXPERIENCE &
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
As with all projects, we began with UX and IA review. Luckily for us, the existing website was kept light and lean by Green Mountain Fire, giving existing users a concise story and pathway to purchase their firelogs.
With the site architecture refined, we focused mainly on user experience enhancements, such as:
Strategic placement of calls to action throughout the site
Infusion of customer stories highlighting product benefits
VISUAL DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
While we always enjoy the design process, this project was special. The recent rebrand came complete with updated colors, fonts, logo treatments, and even decorative illustrations. This gave us plenty of toys to play with as we brought the new website to life.
Building the site on Squarespace, we were able to bring pages to life in a flash. We began with the homepage and Our Firewood pages to confirm client satisfaction with the visual design approach. Upon approval, the same design rules were applied to the remaining pages.
With all pages constructed and the new design applied, we were able to launch the new website just before the holidays in December 2024.
