Discovery
While HATCH worked with Diameter Health on the rebrand, Nor’easter was reviewing their current site’s infrastructure, sitemap, and traffic patterns to understand where and how the users’ interactions with the site could be improved. In addition to our own research, interviews with key stakeholders were conducted at the onset of this phase to capture key industry insights, and to better understand Diameter Health’s goals for the new site.
UX/IA
The Discovery phase yielded a slough of information we used to inform our production of the new sitemap. The sitemap caters to three distinct user groups:
Those who are unfamiliar with clinical data and how it is utilized within the healthcare ecosystem
Those who are familiar with the uses of clinical data and are looking for information relating to their specific vertical
Those who are familiar with how clinical data is used and are looking for the technical features and benefits of Diameter Health’s solutions
The wireframes reinforce these pathways. We grant the users a level of autonomy in quickly selecting their path via the navigation, while also making it easy to access additional resources and credibility boosting materials such as case studies and testimonials.
Design
With wireframes and a new sitemap ready to roll, HATCH’s design team went to work bringing the look & feel established in their branding exercises to life.
We began with “high-level” designs that focused on just a couple pages to ensure that Diameter Health was comfortable with the design direction. Once approved, we moved to “detailed design” in which any remaining blocks or templates were comped for approval.
Desktop and mobile comps were produced for both phases to ensure elements scaled appropriately between breakpoints.
Development & Launch
We always recommend a modular approach to page-building to allow for maximum flexibility. Combined with Gutenberg’s existing library of basic page-building blocks, the custom blocks produced during our design phase can be inserted and rearranged on pages and posts at will.
Once a staging site was produced by our developer, we were able to build out the new sitemap’s pages using the updated copy and imagery produced by HATCH. In addition, we managed the migration of dozens of resource posts from the old site to the new, ensuring Diameter Health’s robust backlog of information was retained without issue.
After a few rounds of revision and review with Diameter Health’s stakeholder team, we successfully launched the site just before New Year’s of 2021.
